Plymouth
Rock
Pair $120, Trio $200
- A large utility breed, very docile
with brown eggs
Some say this is one of the finest
American dual-purpose breeds (for meat and eggs). It originated
as a cross between Black Cochins and the Dominique, and was first
exhibited as the Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts in 1869. It arrived
in Australia in about the 1890, and has been a favourite with breeders
ever since. |

Brahma
Pair $120, Trio $200
A gentle but hardy heavy soft-feathered breed who love to forage. Originally called Brahma-Pootras after the river which divides China & India, the hens lay tinted brown eggs and make great mothers. |

Croad Langshan
Pair $120, Trio $200
A huge and gentle bird - hens lay up to 200 big eggs a year. Originally from the Langshan district on the Yangtse River in China, they were first brought to the west in the 1870’s by Major F.T. Croad. |

- Australia's first official breed was originally developed from Malay Game and several English game breeds
- A surprisingly docile and friendly breed

- Near black skin and unique plumage
Silkies are very reliable brooders for the eggs of other breeds. They require dry housing and regular cleaning due to their plumage and make wonderful pets.

TRANSPORT INFO

As you probably know, live animal transport is expensive. We do, however, strive to keep our transport charges as low as possible. The following are an indication of current shipping costs.
Please remember to add this to the cost of your birds.
All orders (including transport) must be paid in advance by credit card or cheque.
By road
It costs around $99 to send a pair or trio of young birds to Sydney or Brisbane. Larger birds cost around $140 for a trio. Regional areas are more expensive.
We now have reliable transport:
- between Sydney and Cairns on the east coast
- to northern and central western NSW
- to most of regional Queensland
We can usually arrange delivery to Southern NSW, Victoria and South Australia.
